Before and After
Following are some examples of staging jobs that I have performed. These homes represent all price points, from $119,00 to over $1,000,000. Staging enables each home to showcase their very different personalities and strengths.
The following pictures are from a large home in Inman, SC. An elderly couple had collected many items from a long life together. The home needed some decluttering and updating in order for the home to get the price that it deserved.
Living room - We reworked the mantel and removed much of the clutter.
Basement - This was an extremely large space with a lot of room to move and live in. We made more sense of the space by setting up various living spaces.
Kitchen- Again, removing clutter and updating the countertops with granite made a huge improvement with minimal cost.
BEFORE - This home is located in Fernwood in Spartanburg. It has this den with the great fireplace but needed some TLC.
AFTER- Flanking comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace makes this a room in which to read, chat, or relax.
BEFORE - This lack luster kitchen needed some character.
AFTER - Adding a few updated accessorizes created a pleasing environment in which to gather.
BEFORE- The wallpaper in this bathroom was overpowering.
AFTER - A much more serene environment in which to get ready for the day.
BEFORE - This large living space lacked any definition.
AFTER - Placing a few well choosen pieces of furniture and accessories, defined the space
BEFORE - This occupied home was clean but had too many objects in the small space.
AFTER - By moving some of the bulky items, repositioning lamps, and changing the accessories, the room feels very crisp and clean.
BEFORE - This master bedroom had a red stained floor which the homeowner had recently redone. With no furniture in the room, it was rather glaring.
AFTER - This handsome furniture and bedding transforms the room into a comfortable, serene place.
BEFORE - This living room is the first room that you seen when walking in the home. It lacks any personality.
AFTER - Placing interesting furniture and accessories transformed this space into a room in which to gather.
BEFORE - This living room looks barren and intimidating on how to place the furniture.
AFTER - Choosing furniture to compliment the space and arranged for conversation creates a very comfortable place in which to live.
BEFORE - This family room looks dark and uninviting.
AFTER - By adding some well placed furniture and accessories, a comfortable welcoming family area is created.
BEFORE - This small living room appeared to be too small for any furniture.
AFTER - Creatively placing furniture creates a very inviting living area. There is also plenty of room for an entertainment center, chair and ottoman.
BEFORE - This bedroom looks tiny. Will only a twin sized bed fit in here?
AFTER - A queen sized bed and large dresser easily fits in this master bedroom with plenty of extra space.
BEFORE - The stark white kitchen lacks any personality. The dining room color is also too dark for the small space.
AFTER - Adding just a few accessories to the kitchen and lightening up the color of the dining room, makes this space much more inviting.
BEFORE - This dining nook was bare and dull. The small space also gave the impression that there was no room for a table and chairs since it was basically a walk-thru.
AFTER - A comfortable dining area was created with plenty of room to either enjoy the table and chairs or mingle during a cocktail party.
BEFORE - This dining room is all wrong - the paint color is too flat, the curtains are hung too low and are far too short.
AFTER - Removing the dated curtains and updating the paint color transformed this room into a neutral palette in which to create a pleasing dining environment.
BEFORE - This kitchen is crisp but lacks personality.
AFTER - Adding some well placed accessories without adding clutter creates a pleasing cooking environment.
